Hello, my name is Chris York. My family and I live in a very rural community nestled in the beautiful Idaho mountains. So rural, we have NO stop lights in our county, and the next nearest town is 30 miles away.

~ MY "WAKE UP" CALL ~

Six years ago I lost my mom to the horrible disease of cancer and lost someone so very precious to me, it devestated me. Then 2 1/2 years later my Dad had a major stroke and in a matter of seconds, his life was changed for ever, as were his childrens lives, again!

After several months in the hospital we were finally able to bring Dad home, but he required 24 hour care.  So we, as his children stepped up and took turns caring for Dad in his home, for over 9 months.

I cherish that time helping my Dad. These past few years have shown me how very short and precious life is and how trully important it is to be able to be with the ones I love.

These tragic events with my parents was my "Wake Up Call" to whats truly is important in my life and that is my family and the time I get to spend with them.
